This is Kate, an ordinary mother to two kids, and a housewife by choice. Though I am not writer by profession, what I have to share with you is my life journey that is so extraordinary that I decided to write about the experience myself.

My Life Changed After Getting Older And Having Children

Looking back at my teenage years, I had managed to stay fit and healthy in school and college. In my college years, I loved nothing more than going to the beach with my friends wearing a bikini.
I loved to make heads turn towards me and with all the guys “looking” my way, made me feel proud of my figure. Even though on the face of it, I acted like it bothered me, I can admit now getting all that extra attention felt good.
I never imagined that as I got older, I would really miss the “good old days” of guys hitting on me and asking me out for a date. That was the past. In the present, my marriage lacked the “fire” it once had. I stopped being “intimate” with my husband. He thought that I wasn’t attracted to him anymore.

And Today...

But really – Whenever I saw myself naked in the mirror, I felt so fat and ugly that the thought of my husband seeing me naked made me sick. I had started suffering from a complexion that husbands hate to make love to a dinosaur in bed!
I knew if he saw just how bad I looked now naked in front of him right now, he would be disgusted and file for a divorce right away. He is the same person, who at a point in time, drooled over my figure when at the beach with his friends, and was constantly pestering me for a date!

Time was running out for me to get back the body that I used to have….

It was a wakeup call that highlighted the urgency of the fact that I needed to lose weight. One day I was feeling down and had to visit the doctor at the hospital, who in his consultation papers commented that I was morbidly obese.
Not wanting to believe the doctor, I put this simple question to my husband was sitting at the kitchen table having dinner with the kids.

I bluntly asked him “Mark – the doctor’s report says that I’m fat. Do you also think of me that way?” (which I now regret I should not have asked in front of the kids).
For a moment, he stumbled over his words trying his best not to hurt my feelings. After he mustered up the courage to say, “No, I think you’re just a little bigger than you used to be”. My 6-year-old son, who was sitting at the dinner table, bluntly replied, “But Mom… my friends say you are fat!”

My husband laughed aloud, harder than I’d seen him laugh at a stupid joke in the last couple of years. It took all I had not to burst into tears.
I knew right then and there I had to do something. My husband may be a nice man, but he didn’t deserve the woman that I was today. Not just my weight, but my attitude, my health, my mindset. Everything was falling apart!
And it’s not that I never tried to lose weight! I had tried every possible diet one could imagine. From fruits, smoothies, to ultimate fasting, Atkins, Paleo, Weight Watchers…you name it, but the only weight I ever watched was mine going up! I’d lose some weight for a little while, only to eventually watch in horror as I gained it all back plus some more, when I got off the diet!
I was so tired of this roller coaster in life, and I truly felt like I was…doomed to a life of being a dinosaur! overweight & ugly! My health was faltering. It was one thing to be upset about the rolls hanging off my belly or the love handles that made every top look terrible or the way my oversized thighs and hips made my jeans appear to be holding back Hoover’s Dam!
It was something much more than that. As my weight crept up over the years so had my blood pressure and cholesterol levels. The regular visits to the doctor turned into accusations about how my weight was the cause of everything wrong with me! Even something as minor as a cold or a headache!
And going through menopause with severe obesity was NOT something I wanted to do.

And That’s When I Got Serious & Started Looking for Answers

I spoke to a good friend of mine who had lost a substantial amount of weight following a program she found on the internet.

My friend swore by this program as they offered a risk free money back trial and told me all about it.
The only reason that the diet program had worked for her, she said, was, because she was able to customize her diet plan according to her own food choices and did not have to put in much efforts for exercising.
She had me hooked when she said “little or no exercise”. At my age my body is just so worn out I don’t have the energy or stamina to go to the gym with a bunch of young girls making me look like a fool!
So, my friend told me more about this simple, customized plan, that was designed on the same scientific principles that run our bodies.

She explained that women’s bodies basically run on sugar or “glucose” all day long. That is why we crave chocolate and sugary drinks all the time, particularly during pregnancy. And the more of it we eat, the more we crave it!

But there’s a better fuel for our bodies. One that runs off the “fat” that is stored in the body. If you can get your body to burn fat for energy, that’s the real trick to losing weight effortlessly.

In fact, once you switch your body to the fat burning mode – you don’t even want to exercise to lose weight!
We all know that the body derives energy from the food that we eat daily. The energy is measured and converted into calories.

All foods contain calories. The “easy” way to get the body into fat burning mode, she said, was to eat certain foods while staying away from a few foods that are bad for you anyway.

I Mean, If This Plan Could Work for Her… Doesn’t It Stand To Reason It Could Work For Me Too?

After all, this wasn’t where I planned to be at my age…
I was always the skinny chick; all my friends told me how jealous they were of my hourglass figure. Now, my hourglass had broken, and I looked more like a busted-open tube of biscuits!
I sat at home because I didn’t want to be seen like this by old friends. I even skipped my High School Reunion some time back because I was too embarrassed to face my old friends.
All that I had to do was to upload my current age, height, and weight with along with the list of foods that I have in my daily and click the button to get the results online! I was blown away with the results.
Most of the foods that I ate regularly were there, along with precise instructions as to exactly what and how much to eat for each meal.

Though some foods were missing, it did not matter as those foods were replaced with new foods.
All the recipes too looked really enticing! And even a grocery list that I was able to print right off and take with me to the grocery store. It couldn’t have been a more convenient way to save time and money.

My blood sugar and blood pressure numbers have stabilized. My hourglass figure is back and I’m looking forward to hanging out at the beach with some friends from high school again!
